Beyond weather and economy, Snowball runs several community-focused features that keep the Xtreme Weather server active and engaging. You can register your birthday, submit questions for the daily QOTD, send suggestions, and apply for weather spotter recognition — all through slash commands. Snowball tracks member birthdays and announces them in a dedicated channel each day. Only your month and day are stored — no year is ever collected or saved. **Register your birthday** ``` /birthday add month:<1–12> day:<1–31> ``` Pick your birth month (as a number 1–12) and your birth day (1–31). Snowball confirms once your birthday is saved. You can run this again at any time to update it. **Remove your birthday** ``` /birthday remove ``` This removes your birthday from the system entirely. Snowball will no longer announce it. On your birthday, Snowball posts an announcement in the birthday channel and pings the birthday role so the community can celebrate with you. Each day, Snowball posts a Question of the Day in the QOTD channel and opens a thread for discussion. Questions are submitted by community members and reviewed by staff before they go into the queue. **Submit a question** ``` /qotd submit question: ``` Your question must be between 10 and 200 characters. After you submit, Snowball confirms privately that your submission was received and forwards it to the staff review queue. Staff will accept or deny it — if accepted, it enters the posting queue and will be published on a future day. When your question is posted as the QOTD, it credits you as the submitter in the channel. Use `/suggest` to send a suggestion or report a bug directly to the Snowball development team. ``` /suggest type: message: ``` Choose **Suggestion** to propose a new feature or improvement, or **Bug Report** to flag something that isn't working correctly. Add your description in the `message` field. Snowball confirms your submission privately and forwards the full details to the developers for review. The starboard highlights the most-reacted messages in the server. When a message receives enough ⭐ reactions from other members, Snowball automatically pins it to the starboard channel. You can view the top starred messages with: ``` /starboard most ``` This shows a ranked list of the most-starred messages, including who posted them, how many stars they received, and a jump link to the original message. Use **Previous** and **Next** to page through the results. The **Levels leaderboard** also includes a **Starboard** view — run `/leaderboard` and select **Starboard** from the dropdown to see the top members and messages ranked by total stars. If you hold a trained weather spotter certification, you can apply for the Spotter role in the Xtreme Weather server. The Spotter role recognizes members who have completed official spotter training. **Submit your application** ``` /spotter add ``` Running this command opens a modal where you upload proof of your spotter certification (up to 5 files). Your submission goes to staff for review. If you already have the Spotter role, or if you have a pending application, Snowball will let you know and prevent duplicate submissions.
