All weather data comes from NWS and is limited to US locations. Every weather subcommand is slash-command only — prefix commands are not supported. Commands that accept a location option use autocomplete: start typing a city name and Snowball will suggest matching locations.

/weather current

Shows the current conditions reported by the nearest NWS observation station, including temperature, feels-like, wind, humidity, dew point, visibility, and pressure. Active alerts (if any) are also surfaced inline.

Shows the extended 7-day forecast broken into named periods (e.g., “Tonight”, “Saturday”, “Saturday Night”).

Shows a hour-by-hour breakdown of temperature, feels-like, conditions, wind, humidity, and precipitation chance for the next 12 hours.

/weather alerts

Retrieves active NWS weather alerts for the area. Alerts are ranked by severity (warnings first, then watches, then advisories). If multiple alerts exist, Snowball shows a dropdown to select which one to view.

Alert navigation buttons expire 15 minutes after the command is run. Only the user who ran the command can use the navigation buttons.

/weather alertmap

Shows a map of all active NWS weather alerts across the continental US, or filtered to a specific Weather Forecast Office (WFO).

/weather radar

Fetches a screenshot of the latest radar image from the nearest WSR-88D station within 150 miles. Includes a link to the interactive radar at radar.xtremewx.com. If the screenshot service is temporarily unavailable, Snowball provides a direct link to the live radar instead.

/weather satellite

Retrieves the latest GOES-19 satellite imagery. Defaults to a CONUS GeoColor animation loop. You can mix and match any supported region and product.
