If you receive a moderation action

When Snowball takes action against your account, you receive a direct message explaining what happened. The DM includes:
  • The action type (warning, mute, kick, or ban)
  • The reason provided by the moderating staff member
  • Your case ID
Keep your case ID handy if you want to follow up with staff.

Mutes (timeouts)

A mute is a temporary Discord timeout. While muted you cannot send messages or interact in channels until the timeout expires. The DM you receive will show the duration and reason. Mutes expire automatically — you do not need to do anything.

Bans

A ban permanently removes you from the server. If your DMs are open, Snowball sends you a DM with the reason and your case ID, along with an Appeal Ban button you can use to start an appeal. If you believe your ban was issued in error, you can appeal through the Appeal Ban button in the DM or by contacting staff through another channel once you have been unbanned.
The fastest way to reach staff for a ban appeal or any other question is through the support ticket system. See the tickets page for instructions on how to open a ticket.

Warnings

A warning is a formal note on your record. It does not restrict your access to the server, but repeated warnings can lead to further action. The DM you receive will include the reason and a reminder to review the server rules.

Kicks

A kick removes you from the server, but you can rejoin at any time using an invite link. Snowball sends you a DM with the reason and your case ID before you are removed.
