/weather current
The current conditions command shows the latest observed weather from the nearest NWS reporting station to your location. Snowball displays everything the station is reporting, along with a link to the full forecast on xtremewx.com.What you see
- Temperature — current temperature in °F, with wind chill shown when conditions warrant it
- Conditions — a plain-language description of what the station is observing (for example, Mostly Cloudy or Light Rain)
- Wind — speed and direction, with gust information when gusts are reported
- Humidity — relative humidity as a percentage
- Dew point — dew point temperature in °F
- Visibility — visibility in miles
- Pressure — sea-level pressure in inches of mercury
- Active alerts — if NWS alerts are in effect for the area, Snowball highlights them and links you to
/weather alertsfor full details - Observation time — a relative timestamp showing when the reading was taken
How to use it
Enter a location
Type a city and state, or use Tab autocomplete to select from suggestions. Snowball finds the nearest observation station and returns its latest report.

Choose from Day 1 through Day 8 severe weather outlooks, fire weather outlooks, and extended pattern forecasts. An SPC severe weather timing chart by city is also available.
/weather briefing
Get an AI-generated weather briefing for any US location. Snowball gathers current conditions, alerts, forecast data, and NWS forecast discussions, then produces a concise narrative briefing in either conversational or structured style. When precipitation is happening or imminent, the briefing includes a current radar image for analysis. Briefings include a disclaimer that AI-generated content can make mistakes.
